Veterinarian
Dr. Nihls is originally from Long Island, New York. She received her Bachelor's degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, then worked in journalism and publishing prior to pursuing pre-medical studies at Stony Brook University and earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Nihls started her career as a veterinarian in general practice in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, and then moved to Saint Johns, Florida with her family to thaw out and practice in the sunshine state.
Dr. Nihls' professional interests include dentistry, feline medicine, internal medicine and surgery. She is Fear Free certified and a member of the American and Florida Veterinary Medical Associations. Dr. Nihls aims to connect and collaborate with clients to develop the right treatment plan that meets the goals of each family and their pet.
When not working, Dr. Nihls enjoys jogging, hiking, biking, new cuisine, live music, traveling and working on her home. Dr. Nihls resides in Fruit Cove with her husband, Brian, their son, Gordon, and their furry feline companion, Jonsi.
